Situated on the north bank of the River Welland – forming the border of Lincolnshire –Market Deeping is an ancient town with much to offer.
The town’s main attraction is its unique triangular market place, which has been the location for the town’s famous markets since 1220. The market place is surrounded by some fine stone buildings and former coach inns dating back to the seventeenth century.
Also of historical note is the 13th century church of St, Guthlac, where you can take time to examine its two sundials and its splendid tower.
Youngsters are also catered for with the recently built Woody Heights skate park and BMX track in nearby Deeping St James. And while the kids are busy, the adults can enjoy exploring the town’s great range of shops, cafes and antiques!
