The small Cambridgeshire market town of Ramsey is situated north of Huntingdon and St Ives. The town grew around its famous 10th century abbey, the remains of which are now home to part of the town's secondary school.

You may wish to soak up some local history at the Ramsey Rural Museum or explore some of the UK’s most impressive scenery at the nearby Woodwalton Fen – one of Britain's oldest nature reserves. Woodwalton is a key part of the Great Fen Project, offering you a wide variety of fen habitats to explore. The town is also home to Ramsey 1940s Weekend, one of Britain's biggest living history events, taking place each year over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The award winning event is a fantastic opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the 1940s, featuring living history re-enactions, period dancing, food and exhibitions.
