Farmers' Markets are regularly held on a weekly or monthly basis around Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.  There are also Farm shops which are open most days, all of which are stocked with a rich variety of local produce and organic meat. There is a vegetable box scheme, which is a delivery of fresh, organically grown and locally produced vegetables or fruits, to either a local collection point or directly at home. The vegetable box scheme is normally run by the person growing it and these are delivered within 24 hours of harvesting. So you can be sure that the food is fresh with the nutritional content still at its highest.
